The Over 50 Crowd
Loss of flexibility is a major concern for golfers over age 50 because it is a big part of creating a comfortable swing. If you are in this age bracket, the majority of swing flaws could be from "trying to do it like you used to do." That still may be possible, but it might be a scaled-down version. You will be able to produce the same distance and accuracy with less in your swing--and less is always more in golf.
"Swinging within yourself" is to swing within the natural boundaries of one's sense of balance. Flexibility and balance cannot be achieved if your swing speed is too fast. You need to find a rate of speed that keeps you in balance to your finish position.
Neither age nor physical disability should restrict a person from enjoying this great game of golf. Thanks to all my senior golfers for bettering my understanding of "I CAN."
